The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for investigations of criminal activity, criminal offenses, and the processing of crime scenes and evidence within our Town Limits. The Criminal Investigations Division works special assignments for the Chief of Police including background investigations on potential employees and professional standards investigations.

Effective March 30, 2026, Republic Services will implement a new pickup schedule for residents within the Granite Falls town limits. All household trash will be collected every Monday moving forward. Recycling pickup will occur on alternating Mondays based on your location, with residents on the west side of Highway 321 beginning service on Monday, March 30, 2026, and residents on the east side of Highway 321 beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026. After these initial dates, recycling collection will continue every other Monday, while trash collection will take place every Monday. Please ensure your carts are placed curbside the night before your scheduled pickup day. Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to this new schedule.
