Ladder Truck

Mission Statement
Through professional and dedicated members, the Granite Falls Fire Department cares for and protects the lives and property of our community through rapid incident response, comprehensive training, public education, and fire prevention.

Introduction
Granite Falls Fire Department is a municipal department consisting of twelve full time employees and nine volunteers.  We provide twenty four hour coverage for fire suppression, medical emergencies, and rescue services.  The Fire Department hosts training meetings weekly on Monday nights. Depending on the type of emergency, we may respond with two engines, a tanker truck, a ladder truck, a brush truck, and/or a first responder vehicle.
Granite Falls Fire Department hosts an Explorer Post for individuals aged fourteen to eighteen who wish to pursue a firefighting career or volunteer opportunities. These explorers meet every other Tuesday evening for their training meetings. Granite Falls Fire Department is also a permanent car seat checking station.  We check your child's car seat to insure that it is properly installed for your child's safety.  These checks are completed by appointment.

Effective March 30, 2026, Republic Services will implement a new pickup schedule for residents within the Granite Falls town limits. All household trash will be collected every Monday moving forward. Recycling pickup will occur on alternating Mondays based on your location, with residents on the west side of Highway 321 beginning service on Monday, March 30, 2026, and residents on the east side of Highway 321 beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026. After these initial dates, recycling collection will continue every other Monday, while trash collection will take place every Monday. Please ensure your carts are placed curbside the night before your scheduled pickup day. Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to this new schedule.
