Administration

Town of Granite Falls Administrative functions are housed in the Town Office located at 30 Park Square. The Town Manager, Finance Director, Human Resources DirectorPlanning Director, Town Clerk, and Tax Collector's offices are located in the Town Office. The Town Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, except for designated Town holidays. 
 
The Town's Administrative employees are responsible for a variety of financial and clerical duties necessary to provide timely, cost-effective services to our citizens. The Administrative staff assists the Town Manager with daily activities such as collecting water, wastewater and tax revenue and handling daily questions and concerns from citizens. The Administrative staff compiles, records, and archives financial data for the Manager, Town Council, and Town Departments for budgetary compliance and State of North Carolina record retention regulations. The Administrative staff applies and administers grants and loans for equipment and infrastructure.

Effective March 30, 2026, Republic Services will implement a new pickup schedule for residents within the Granite Falls town limits. All household trash will be collected every Monday moving forward. Recycling pickup will occur on alternating Mondays based on your location, with residents on the west side of Highway 321 beginning service on Monday, March 30, 2026, and residents on the east side of Highway 321 beginning on Monday, April 6, 2026. After these initial dates, recycling collection will continue every other Monday, while trash collection will take place every Monday. Please ensure your carts are placed curbside the night before your scheduled pickup day. Thank you for your cooperation as we transition to this new schedule.
