The Granite Falls Police Department is open Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The office is closed from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Monday - Friday for lunch.

In case of emergency, citizens should always dial 911 for assistance. 911 calls are answered at the Caldwell County 911 Communications Center, and then a Granite Falls Police Officer will be dispatched to respond to the call for service. Non-emergency calls to speak with an officer should be directed to 828-758-2324. Report copies can be picked up at the Granite Falls Police Department Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. except between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. when the office is closed for lunch. Please call ahead to ensure that your report is ready for pickup. You may call the Granite Falls Police Department during our office hours at 828.396.3358. There is no charge for a copy of a Police report.

The reporting officer has up to 10 days to file an Accident Report with the NCDMV. Most reports are filed before the end of the officer’s shift; however, if the accident requires an extensive amount of investigation it may take up to 10 days. Wreck reports are available online.
